FRANK FISCHER, M.D. graduated from Lake
Wales High School with highest honors. He received his
B.S. with honors from the University of Notre Dame, and
his MD from the University of Florida. He interned at
the Western Reserve-University Hospitals of Cleveland,
followed by a residency with the Department of Ophthalmology
at the University of Florida. He also served as a flight
surgeon with the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Fischer is licensed by the State of Florida and board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Ophthalmology. He is also a Member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, the Polk County Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
GARY SCHEMMER, M.D. graduated
from Winter Haven High School with highest honors. He
received his BS with honors from the University of Florida.
He continued his education in the College of Medicine,
where he received his MD. Dr. Schemmer interned at the
University of Florida's Department of Medicine, and then
did a residency Department of Ophthalmology at the University
of Florida.
Dr. Schemmer is licensed by the State of Florida and board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and the Polk County Medical Association.
Dr. Schemmer has also published several articles in various medical journals, including "Archives of Ophthalmology".
JONATHAN SILBIGER, M.D. grew up
in Tampa. He graduated with honors from Rhodes College
in Memphis, TN. He also graduated with honors from the
University of Florida College of Medicine. He was President
of Alpha Omega Alpha, the National Honor Society of Medical
Schools. Dr. Silbiger continued his training as a resident
in Gainesville, and then did a fellowship in Corneal
Disease and refractive surgery at Wills Eye Hospital
in Philadelphia. Dr. Silbiger is licensed by the State
of Florida and board certified by the National Board
of Medical Examiners and American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Silbiger has published articles in several Ophthalmology journals, given talks at several national meetings, and written a chapter on cataracts. He is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of South Florida.
FRANK FISCHER III, M.D. graduated from

his B.S. from the University of North Carolina-Chapel
Hill, and his MD from Tulane University. He served
an internship in medicine and pediatrics, and then a
three-year residency in the Department of Ophthalmology
at Tulane. In
addition, Dr. Fischer completed an externship, studying
and employing new techniques in LASIK, with the Excimer
Laser Center in Panama, Central America.
Dr. Fischer is licensed by the State of Florida, and is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners. He is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and the Polk County Medical Association.
Dr. Fischer has won a number of awards for clinical and academic research, and has been invited to present lectures on a variety of ophthalmic topics.
ALEXEI
L. MORACZEWSKI M.D. was raised in Fort Walton Beach, FL. He graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame. After an internship in internal medicine, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, FL. He then stayed at Bascom Palmer for a fellowship in glaucoma.
Dr. Moraczewski is licensed by the State of Florida and certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and the Polk County Medical Association. He is a published author on ophthalmic topics and has performed research on diagnostic testing and treatment for glaucoma.
