The Toric lens was developed to correct naturally occurring corneal astigmatism. The AcrySof® Toric lens is made of a patented material developed specifically for the eye, which is the same biocompatible lens material as Alcon's market-leading family of AcrySof® intraocular lenses. The AcrySof® Toric lens is a foldable lens that your eye surgeon implants during cataract surgery to replace the clouded, natural lens. The lens’ unique design makes it possible to reduce or eliminate corneal astigmatism, which significantly improves distance vision.
